Vulnerability Equals Change Ability

“…seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

Jeremiah 29: 7
It’s funny how life often takes us in a direction we could have never expected. This is also what happens to the Israelites in Jeremiah 29: 7. There will always be challenges in family life whether your family is small or big, new or old, black, white or all shades in between. It’s how we face these challenges that makes all the difference in the world. Our acceptance of the challenge is also an acceptance to becoming vulnerable which is the only way to growth. In this movie clip from the movie, Change of Plans, this married couple is about to have their world turned upside down or so they think. But, they actually end up pleasantly surprised at the love that developes for these 4 orphaned children unexpectedly placed in their care. Isn’t that just like love to sneak up on us and enlighten our spirits forever more!
